Promoting working conditions around the world is extremely important to everyone at Richard Haworth. As such we are member of both the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and SEDEX. BCI focuses on improving agricultural practices to protect the environment, support farmers, and ensure responsible sourcing. It's not a specific type of cotton, but rather a system of cultivation that promotes sustainability.
SEDEX provides one of the world’s leading online platforms for companies to manage and improve working conditions in global supply chains. It provides practical tools, services and a community network to help companies improve their responsible and sustainable business practices, and source responsibly.
Charitable Associations
Charitable commitments are an important part of the Group philosophy. Charities supported include Orbis International, Global Giving World, Coffee Kids, Save the Tiger Fund and EK Prayaas children’s school in India. In the local community the group has been a patron of the Bolton Lads and Girls Club for many years.
